Short Story
Of all the legendary and mythical creatures of earth, the dwellers in the sea - mermaids, monsters, were-seals, sirens - have been among the most consistently intriguing. For many years, it has been generally agreed that the superficial resemblance between dolphins and humans was probably responsible for most mermaid "sightings." Now the most recent evidence suggests that the resmemblance is not entirely superficial.
